Beginning from education , New York has the greatest public and private education system in United States. The greatest university in the city is City University of New York. This university is between the greatest universities in the world.
The University of Columbia is a private institution and It's the oldest one in the city. Other important universities in New York are New York University, St. John's University, between other. That two are private universities, being St. John's University a catholic university.
In New York are located, the Rockefeller University, returned to education and medical research, and the famous Juilliard School, a theater, music and dance conservatory.
Still talking about education, there are libraries. The New York's municipal libraries are administrated by three different public organs. The New York Public Library System is responsible for the municipal libraries located in Manhattan, Bronx and Staten Island, The Brooklyn Public Library is responsible for the municipal libraries located in Broklyn, and the Queens Borough Public Library is responsible for the libraries in Queen.
